If he is hyping a treatment or fast tracking something that might not be effective because he has a financial interest in doing so, that is a major issue. However, from what I have read it appears he owns stock in a fund in which one manufacturer of the drug is part of the portfolio. Considering the portfolio likely has many drug manufacturers hyping one will hurt the others. I think a mountain is being made out of a mole hill unless it can be demonstrated that President Trump is providing preferential treatment. For example, fast tracking a specific maker of Hydroxychloroquine to the exclusion of the generic brands. |
