Would you feel the same if your wife came down with a possibly fatal disease she could have been vaccinated against? Would your wife feel the same if you were the one who got infected?

We are not getting younger, and our immune systems do not get stronger or even stay the same as we age. Also, remember that a lot of diseases are not going to let you die quickly and quietly and leave a beautiful corpse. Chances are, you're going to suffer, your family is going to suffer, before you either recover or die.
