Re: DAs blast de Blasio as violent offenders set for release from Rikers despite mayor's promise

No sale. The mayor is effectively on the clock 24 hours a day in a city like NY. He can be, and is, called upon in the middle of the night when something bad happens, and is expected to be available every weekend as needs dictate. So, if De Blasio goes to the gym, that's fine with me. He's still on call, even when he's on the weight pile. Most ordinary city workers, by contrast, have fixed working schedules.
