The Constitution is "the Supreme Law of the Land". All government officials take an oath to support and abide by it, and may not violate it under any circumstances. The Federal government was created by the Constitution, and exists only by virtue of it. If that make it a "suicide pact", so be it.That said, some returning citizens have been quarantined. And it's probably not the Constitution, but international treaties, that prevent them from being turned away. |
