Not to downplay the severity of this, but folks should be reminded that this is not an automatic death sentence.Of course not. But suppose it kills 2% of those who get it. Without isolation, everyone will get it before a vaccine is available, because it's really easy to catch. So that's 6 million dead Americans. Probably more because eventually the medical system will collapse and a lot of people who could have been saved with good medical care won't be saved because good medical care will no longer be available. |
