There are two things you need to know before you can safely restart.First, you want to make sure than anyone released will not spread the disease. This means each person released must be regularly tested for the presence of the virus. They need to test negatively for 14 days to make sure they they are not harboring a dormant virus on a single test. Second, you must assume that a virus carrier will be released. Therefore, you want to make sure that those released also have antibodies in their blood to make them immune. This means another test for those who are released. Only 1 blood test would be required. This leaves those who were never infected in limbo. Maybe, an effective treatment will be available by then. |
