I don't think Brian knows anything about background acting or being an extra. It's probably the easiest part time job to get into. For example, Central Casting, the longest company from the 1920's on background, doesn't turn down anyone. Background is just the people walking down the street, people sitting at restaurant tables other than the principals, people in court galleries, people sitting in church, sporting events, etc.From September to February I had 26 jobs which came out to roughly one a week with the average gross pay being roughly $180 each. I worked Ray Donovan, New Amsterdam, FBI Most Wanted, Evil Lives Here, Tommy, High Maintenance, Billions, For Life, FBI, and a few unnamed pilots. I even did a scene sitting in an R-46.
