Good use of quotes by that writer to be purposefully misleading. What Trump actually said was that Democratic criticism of the administration's response to coronavirus was a hoax.

Snopes even states that exact thing, but bizarrely rate the claim that Trump called coronavirus a hoax as a "Mixture". Had the political leanings been reversed, I doubt that would have happened. Snopes
