Here's a true story.I shared a locker with a Jewish kid in high school. We weren't friends but we were cool. One day I go to get my books and he's there talking to some other kids. Turns out that they were talking/complaining about Hebrew school, which I literally never heard of. I say something stupid (but not offensive imo) and he asks if I am jewish. I say no and he asks why am I even there. I say that it's my locker and they all leave. We never really spoke again. His father was a big name in my department at my university. He wrote the textbook that we used. The kid that I shared a locker with was not in college and doing something useless like maybe being a deadhead. Go figure. |
