"The beauty of the natural world doesn’t need a deity.""Doesn't need" is a very interesting phrase. And I didn't have time to say in the post you are responding too, atheism is a belief, it is the faith in itself. So let's work backwards. Why does the world need you? Why doesn't the word need whatever a "deity" is? Why do you think a bunch of "jews" from Poland can write a book so accurately describing the cities in Israel so well, when they're not from there? If you were keeping up with your Bible studies, last weeks portion -towards the beginning - describes that if you don't wash your hands, you die. Jews live with the portion of the week, and I keep hearing about handwashing all the time. Seems pretty apt and accurate to me. But you're telling me its all wrong. "Sometimes the world sucks. And other times it is so beautiful. " False. It is always beautiful. "Because I’m not a small child who needs to believe in Santa Claus." You're not even near the wisest man that ever lived either. Humility can do you some good. That way you won't try to impress us with 1L legal studies like a girl at a bar. |
