What he said was that it is purposely being overblown in the media, just to point fingers at Trump.Except that people are really dying in Italy, and ICUs are overwhelmed with sick people, and the same disease is right here in the USA. I agree some media articles are alarmist, and quite possibly closing all sports events is an overreaction. But social distancing is known to be the most effective approach. Better to close sports events and put some well-paid entertainers out of work than to close factories and schools. |
