But science should be questioned from a scientific point of view. Once something is scientifically proven, it's time to move on. Otherwise you just have flat earthers.

Let me give a politically conservative example.

Leftists say that fracking causes pollution and earthquakes. But the science strongly posits that it's not fracking that causes pollution; it's careless practices that are equally a part of regular gas drilling. The solution is not to curb fracking but to curb careless drilling practices.

Similarly, science tends to show it's not fracking that causes the earthquakes, it's injecting the used fracking water back into the ground that does. So don't ban fracking; ban re-injection of the fracking water.

So I'm all for scientists questioning science. I'm not so much for people ignorant of the science questioning science. They question science without using established scientific methods to show the errors. "Meat turns into maggots" was disproved by good science, not by random people saying it's not so.
