when I played little league we all got a participation trophy even if our team did not win the division or series, we all got a trophy.

But it's a good marketing tool. The trophy is like a refrigerator magnet for a business. But we never lost sight of the fact that we did not "win" the trophy and that the goal is to be the best team.

It seems you continue to engage in political arguments.
