Of course, they could also build a San Gabriel Base Tunnel to solve that problem.This wouldn’t be the same as though, as the Central Valley is still at a notably higher elevation than the LA basin, so such a tunnel would have a continuous incline, and it would still open into already developed Palmdale. It would cost billions, so better to spend that on tanks and aircraft carriers. |
