What "signs of deception" was this young motorist showing? He did everything right: kept his hands visible, asked the cop if it was OK to do something before he did it, so the cop wouldn't suddenly "fear for his life", and he didn't appear "glossy-eyed" or intoxicated in this sharp, clear video.That cop is full of shit, saying he takes "everybody" he stops out of their car. Officer Max was looking to throw another young Black man in jail from the moment he pulled that car over. Do you really believe a white guy in an expensive suit driving a luxury car would have been asked SIX times, if he had or smoked marijuana or done cocaine? The ONLY thing that saved this kid from going to jail was that he kept his wits about him, and followed "the talk" every Black child gets about how to deal with the police, by the time he or she turns 12 years old: Keep your hands visible at all times Don't make any sudden movements Tell the cop what you are doing before you do it; ask permission Stay calm and speak in a respectful tone That cop was trying HARD to provoke this kid, or find the slightest excuse to look him up. |
