...and if he's convicted of all of these alleged crimes, he'll be doing consecutive sentences. If bail had been set and he posted it, it would have happened anyway. You're still missing the point of bail reform, which is to eliminate the unfair premise that the poor must stay in jail while awaiting trial, while those with more means can go free and effectively take part in their own defense. Bail is just legalized ransom.
