All sorts of issues arise when you do not have your tag aligned with a license plate. Something similar happened to me over the summer when I took the old VW over the Marine Parkway bridge. Northbound they billed the plate (without the resident discount) and southbound it billed the tag. Since those plates were new to the car I hadn't synced them up to the tag therefore the bill in the mail. I don't know why it didn't read the tag on the northbound trip but I was told they will attempt to cross reference plates with tags in order to properly bill you. I did have to straighten it out in person at the help center but it only took 10 minutes. |
