The government has spent money on projects that benefit Americans that it hasn't yet asked us Americans to pay for yet.So it has borrowed money (slightly from me, because I own some US bonds, but heavily from the Chinese and very wealthy investors) that it needs to pay back eventually, by raising taxes. |
