OK, so I have no issue with the statement in general. The part I take issue with (and whoever thinks it's TDS or whatever other BS can save that crap) is... The Black unemployment rate has been on a steady decline for several years much like the overall unemployment rate. That said, while it's obviously good news... I'm not seeing where blacks should suddenly see Trump as some sort of savior solely on the strength that the unemployment among blacks has essentially stayed on course. The bottom line is that it continued to mostly decline, and at a similar rate. So... if something is trending in one direction for a long period of time... logic dictates that it may eventually set new records, which in this case is good news. The difference here is that the same group (including this POTUS) disputed (and/or saw it as insignificant) steady unemployment rate decline immediately changed their tune after 1/2017, and that's a fact! |
