How about you get erroneously accused of a serious crime, the judge remands you, and by the time the system straightens it out, you're out of a job and on the streets because you were incarcerated too long, and your considerable resources went towards your defense instead of paying bills?That happens more often than you might think. There are many paths to homelessness that have nothing to do with "responsibility". |
