I don't know how their income taxes work up there, but considering I pay possibility the highest sales taxes in the country (food not exempted), the extra 3% was no shocker to me.I doubt 3% is what pays for their antiquated medical care with full on wait lists and people dying in the streets. So I can only image what a Canadian system (which every Canadian doctor says will fail soon) would cost in America. We have the extra costs of the massive amounts of graft and corruption. As my 10% isn't going to anything down here as is. I can't wait until they start building hospitals solely on the basis of race and zip code. Which reminds me. New York is one of the last states that is holding up healthcare via an antiquated and failed "Certificate of Need" Law. They opened up a half billion dollar hospital near me that I can see out the window. And a freestanding ER with helicopter pad. In NY that would not be allowed due to outdated crony laws. |
