Metric is for guys who want to pretend to be "bigger", and girls who want to be thinner.
It serves no useful purpose in everyday life. Just ask the lines of people standing in front of any home depot. They know metric, and they can't use it.

and speed limit of 40 on residential streets? gimme a break. Just say 25, you speak english, use it.
