Hillary took her campaign seriously enough that she actually won the popular vote.On the contrary, her failure to win over the basket of deplorables in those flyover states cost her dear. It's no good piling up votes in New York and Massachusetts and California. She needed to broaden her appeal beyond the smug coastal elites so that she actually could claim to be the whole of America's President. Or rather, the Democratic Party needed to broaden their appeal by not selecting the sort of candidate who is so repellent that if you had the misfortune to be married to them you would start accepting blowjobs from interns. But anyway, the Electoral College did its job here. |
