First, his gaffes could end up alienating with the Democratic base, which has started happening, I believe. Secondly, the right-wing media is very good at harping on Democratic candidates' faults, and they can emphasize Biden's gaffes to the point that people would put them on the same level as Trump's gaffes. That would leave Trump with an advantage due to his incumbency. That's partly why I'd rather go with Elizabeth Warren, who's smarter and less gaffe-prone, IMO. |
