Maybe we should get a better source than a New York publication. States can't do federal matters like that. Especially not criminal.I had those scam calls a couple years ago where a guy from New York leaves a message pretending he's got court papers in his hand if you don't pay some fake debt. Even though federal law provides attorney's fees and a statutory amount to recover when you sue, couldn't find a single lawyer who wanted the free cash. That's what's going on in Texas. No lawyers. |
