Well, the question is actually a larger one - can a Jewish person oppose Israel and not be considered a self-hating Jew?

Because Bernie has said some nasty things about Israel, including comparing it to Saudi Arabia.

Those who feel that any threat to Israel is a threat to world Jewry would say that Bernie is a self-hating Jew. Those who feel that Jews should be free to criticize Israel would not say so. It really depends on who you ask.

As the child of Holocaust survivors who grew up hearing stories about Nazi atrocities, Polish and Hungarian assistance in the roundup of Jews and the world's silence, I am in the former group.
