Therefore, by your logic, to avoid being labeled a homophobe, one should steer clear of gay topics. To avoid being called a racist, one should steer clear of any topic involving any group other than white people, who are the dominant culture in the US.How is merely commenting or yes, criticizing a country like Israel so sensitive that it is "anti-Semitic", but criticizing, say, transgender people as "mentally ill" is perfectly OK? It's a double standard, reinforced by your assertion that I should "steer clear" of certain topics. I can't dictate which topics you may post about, nor can you tell me what I may post about without being branded an "anti-Semite". To say any group or country is above criticism, is the worst kind of elitism and censorship. It's also intellectually dishonest, if you really think about it. |
