I HAVE read history. Every group selected for extermination under the Nazis was singled out deliberately and knowingly. This was established as a fact during the Nuremberg trials after the war. Gays who were vivisected, imprisoned and killed by Hitler's regime were just as specifically targeted as all the other groups, Jews included, who were murdered during the Holocaust.I disagree, even as I understand your deep emotional connection to the atrocities of the Holocaust, with your assertion that gays were merely "collateral damage". That invalidates and minimizes their actual suffering, which was no less horrific than other groups the Nazis designated for extermination. |
