Tried to enlist in JAG in 1979 but neither the Navy nor Army were accepting new lawyers then. The military was still slashing the ranks post-Vietnam War. The Air Force wanted me to wait until 1981 and try then but I didn't want to wait around two years. But at least I registered for the draft when I turned 18 as required by law, Draft Dodger. |
