He was definately before my time.I only found out about him because I was helping to clean out the basement of a store front, and there were boxes of old local newspapers (Easton, PA) from the late 1940s. Looking through them, I came across a number of Pegler's columns. Reading them I thought, is this guy for real? His stuff was so off the wall sarcastic, mean spirited and small minded.... My Dad rolled his eyes with an "Oh-My-God" expression on his face when I told him about the Pegler columns I found who knows, if Pegler were still around he might even be too weird for Fox news. |
