I am not retired. So I was in Vancouver yesterday on business and after a 2 year hiatus which means a pause or interruption in time or continuity I was back on the water acting as adjunct coxswain on a rowing eight. I was being trained by an adjacent boat when I was told to cease commands for the duration. After returning to the facility on Coal Harbour Harbor I was told that despite instructions I was not able to, and I am quoting here, provide pertinent and sustainable direction to the rowers. Evidently, there is a rhythmic cadence and harmonic tonal consideration I was not employing whatever that is supposed to mean. What a disgrace.The fact I got into a verbal altercation with the Canadian rowers probably did not help my cause. The long and short of it is I was told, in so many words, the Vancouver Rowing Association was finished with me. I do not give up easily and will continue honing my craft on the toxic heavy metal laden Passaic River this summer. The whole thing makes no sense.

Anyway, congratulations on your retirement.
