Interesting that you bring up Bumpurs.

That case changed procedures for handling violent EDPs in both the NYPD and the EMS Command.

Now, a supervisor from each of these agencies must be assigned to any job involving a violent emotionally disturbed person.

If the Bumpurs job had been managed a little better, we wouldn't have the rule that bears her name today.
