"Temple" usually refers to how Jews who identify as Reform refer to their house of worship."Synagogue" usually refers to how Jews who identify as Conservative refer to their house of worship, although some use the term "Temple". I grew up Conservative but attended Temple Beth Shalom in Smithtown. "Shul" usually refers to how Jews who identify as Orthodox refer to their house of worship. |
