They don't even teach shop or auto mechanics in high school anymore. That wing of my LI high school was ripped down and replaced with classrooms. It's college or a BOCES (or Vo-Tech as we call it in NJ). Trades are discouraged in American education. Everyone who pumps gasoline is an Indian, auto mechanics and hotel employees are Latinos.As Buttigieg told us, don't be duped by Trump thinking we can go back to 1965. That world is gone. It will get no whiter. |
