Posted by JayZeeBMT on Mon Apr 22 09:43:15 2019 The high court will decide whether gays, lesbians and transgender people are protected by the Civil Rights Act of 1964.With two of Trump's conservative judges on the Court, I'm not optimistic about this. A ruling that LGBTQ employees are not protected, could open the door to severe employment issues for LGBTQ people, including summary firing over sexual orientation or gender identity. The fact that this decision won't come until June of next year, in the midst of the presidential campaign, makes the case even more contentious. |
