And then there's a corollary....crisis level illness or injury typically preclude one from being able to work. When one can't work, out goes the job-sourced insurance. The ONLY solution to this, along with the bankruptcies created, is to sever this connection. The ACA attempts to do this, it should be strengthened to make it easier for more people to buy into something like a public option on the exchanges, instead of being caught into employer based coverage with its near-yearly fluctuations in coverage. |
