Anything over .35 is potentially fatal. .40 is almost universally lethal to human beings. I once had a patient who registered .37 at the ER after turning his car into modern sculpture on the curve of the westbound Grand Central just before Utopia Parkway. Somehow, he lived to go to jail.N.B. On a Sunday morning after 4 AM, you could park your ambulance on the shoulder just east of this location, and have a zero response time when the drunks wiped out there. It was THAT bad, and that reliable. |
