What was important in my point to Fred is that we all thought she had recused herself, and then it turned out she hadn't. This changed the picture as we would see it. Under our original understanding, she bears no responsibility for Magat's action. Under the revised set of understood circumstances, she does bear responsibility for Magat's actions. |
