Re: Scores Nabbed In Huge College Admissions Scheme

I did not need to bribe anyone when I attended Passaic County Community College - Paterson Campus a couple years ago. My sole reason for matriculating which means attending said institution of higher learning was simply to knock off the rust with respect to my Geodesic Surveying knowledge so I could prove to you people once and for all that I am the foremost land surveyor on this board bar none or bar some. I took the course so I could learn the recent advancements in technology and procedures in order to engage and defeat Fred G, a highly regarded land surveyor in his own right as well as a professional photographer of some note, in a competition. For reasons I am not at liberty to discuss, said competition never materialized.

Some of you may recall one morning, immediately after I worked the "Redeye" from Sea-Tac to Newark, I was in class goofing off because I was acing the weekly exams without even trying. I was turned around in my chair, chewing gum and discreetly blowing bubbles while talking to the student behind me about the Iowa State Cyclone Speed-Option attack out of the offset-I and how K-State will overcome it since it sees that offense in practice every single day. I was called out by the Associate Professor and the ensuing dialogue went along these lines:

Teacher (pointing directly at me in the fourth row): "Is there something you'd like to share with the rest of the class?"

Me: "No?"

Teacher: "Is that a question or answer?"

Me: "What?"

Teacher: "Is there a problem? Do we have a problem here?"

Me: "No."

Teacher: "Good. How about you turn around and either chew your gum quietly or spit it out."

Me: "I'm sorry and I apologize."

Teacher: "I am not asking for an apology. I just need you to respect the lecture."

Me: "OK"

I actually spit out the gum and out of pure spite stuck it to the underside of the desk that was attached to my chair. It was an admittedly foolish even childish thing for me to do, like something out of junior high school, but I was publicly humiliated and that was my only recourse... it was the only arrow left in my arsenal. By now, it should be readily apparent that in these situations I do not seem to have the sense to think things through.
