Over 10 years it was estimated at a total of 105-110k jobs additional to Amazon's. Of course not all of those jobs would be 6 figure but jobs nonetheless.Amazon had also agreed to fund projects like a 600 seat school and other infrastructure including creating open space in a Payment In Lieu Of Taxes (PILOT) program estimated at $600 million over 4 decades. Amazon was willing to kick in over $200 million for infrastructure beefup, including water and sewer and also a new LIRR station. Even with that local officials estimated they were about $1 billion short. |
