Given that at a headquarters for companies like this , the jobs are high paying in comparison to the warehouses, which generally are limited dated in rural areas with interstate access, given the real estate necessary to accommodate, losing this is a bigger hiit than many here seem to realize. Sounds like they're gonna fold the whole deal into Virginia. What did you people think was going to happen here? They were going o be hiring programmers, marketing people, et. al. This isn't a freekin warehouse deal.....so......They're unlikely to so much as put a warehouse in NY (there aren't any for Amazon proper IIRC, they are all close to the border in neighboring states, but there are for Whole Foods) due to labor laws (there's a lot of truth to the piss bottle stories, and more....) now. |
