Behold The Good Tidings...

Posted by Fisk Ave Jim on Thu Dec 6 17:02:34 2018

Last Tues, my wife underwent a successful lumpectomy, removing a small malignant tumor and 2 lymph nodes. Samples of surrounding tissue was sent off to a pathologist to check for any residual cancer cells & determine the "margin". Prognosis for a full recovery is given as good based on what they removed.

So now she's been given strict orders to lay low, as in don't drive, don't lift or stretch, don't even type for the next week to 10 days. For pain management, she's been given some stuff called Trmadol 50 mg. with 2 or 3 little yellow warning stickers on the vial to reinforce the strength and possible dangers of the RX. She took one & it worked great...but hopefully not TOO great, If you know where I'm goin with that.

Now my wife's next big worry is the gastric distress looming on the horizon thanks to my cooking!

So in closing, the fundamental point of all this is that women should have regular mamograms & if something dosen't quite look right, head for an MRI. It could save your life, straight answer.
In closing part II...Thanks again for all the good wishes & nice things said to us here. It meant a lot!
