It was once commonly 34 or 35 inches, and is now less than 30 inches on some planes.

Yup the nice thing about Google flights is they show the number *and* whether it's considered average, below average, or above average. What sucks is people don't care, buy the cheapest ticket then whine about the lack of legroom... or don't pay the $20-50 for the extra legroom seats like economy+.

Setting the minimum legroom is a good thing IMO, because then the lowest tier prices will disappear and the people who buy those seats then complain about the legroom will stay home instead.
