In the 1970s and ‘80s, then-coffee giants Maxwell House and Folgers struggled with the reality that the average coffee drinker was getting older every year. Efforts to get young people to pick up the coffee habit were less than successful.

Coffee in this and 80s was god-awful piss water. Old people have no problem drinking instant coffee dish water.
