But what percentage of black mean commit crime? Since some police shootings are justified, it may well be that more black men find themselves in situations which result in police shootings and that, by itself, is not racist.

As for the effects of racism on this and other cases, I tend to think that black men are more likely to (unjustifiably) inspire fear in a police officer, leading them to pull the trigger. That's racism.
