Yeah, somehow Republicans get away with going extreme and Democrats don't.But the ICE function needs to stay, and it would be crazy to make it a state function. As a hiker, I personally know numerous places where it is very easy to cross the border. It would be prohibitively expensive to actually stop all people from crossing there. But the ICE function insures that just because you've crossed the border doesn't mean you won't be apprehended a few miles in. And that keeps people from crossing. |
