WABB!My mother used to drive into NYC from Danbury with her father in the 1940's. She told me it took a little under 2 hours to lower Manhattan where her older sister lived. Even in the early 1960s when I was growing up in Sty Town, when we visited my grandparents in Danbury the drive took us about an hour and a half, depending upon traffic. |
