That’s one of those charts that tries to make a 10% gain look like a 100% change. It makes the downturn that was so severe that many called it a depression look like a very minor blip. Also those don’t match US Bureau of economic analysis. Maybe look at the overall economy and things like total employment? And maybe we can thank oil prices dropping more than Trump or Obama.

But I shouldn’t have said worse for 6 years. It was really only worse for a couple and slightly improving for the next four. It just didn’t feel like the economy was booming but it does now.
