Politically I know that LA politicians want to blame the large visible homeless population on greedy, wealthy people. Doing so absolves them of their failures in building a sufficient number of housing. It also ensures that the real problems won’t be addressed. These are people that can’t take care of themselves. Putting them in a home won’t solve that underlying issue. |
