If you were sitting on a park bench at the Pink Houses, the people there would think you were either a cop, or out of your mind. Either way, you'd be left alone, free to cross Linden Blvd., and check out Pitkin Yard under the Lincoln Apartments. I used to stop at the firehouse on that corner all the time, to see my old partner, after he went over to the firefighting side. |
